SMD DD-1 - OldSchoolStereo.com Test Bench Update Video Clips. Duration : 5.40 Mins.

I recently got in an SMD DD-1 Distortion Detector. I show off the unit and talk about how I'm going to use it for the OldSchoolStereo.com amp output tests. Also, see me test the Volts RMS output from my Yamaha RX-V670 receiver. The OldSchoolStereo.com test bench is comprised of: 1) Yamaha RX-V670 Home Theater Receiver 2) iPod Nano (1st gen) - loaded with loss-less audio files including test tones for the amp output measurements 3) Velleman HPS50 oscilloscope and True RMS Volt meter 4) SMD DD-1 Distortion Detector 5) 1600 watts of Resistive Dummy Loads configurable for loads of 1-8 ohms 6) Audio Authority Model 978 100A 13.8V power supply 7) Scosche fused distribution block with digital voltage readout Stay tuned for tests of some classic old school car audio amplifiers..and maybe some "cheapo" mini-Chinese amps also! See more info on OldSchoolStereo.com including my article on the DD-1: www.oldschoolstereo.com Video taken with an iPhone 4, edited on the iOS iMovie and uploaded directly to YouTube, no computer required!
