The songs played are "Blast Off" and "Bass Head" by Bassnectar. This is a review and test of the Belkin Bluetooth Receiver. It is really small and light. The rubber grip on the bottom provides so much grip that I am not worried about it sliding on the top om my desk. The price of is a bit much, but playing my music through the headphone cord is obsolete. With some speakers, there is a buzzing noise when you dont plug in the cord, and a loud noise when you do. With this, it eliminates that al together. Overall, I think that you must have this because you can stream media (sound only) from your computer, iPod, iPhone or iPad.

Simple video to show how I output content from my PC to my TV/media center in a different room of the house. All video content is output at 1080p (anything not in this native resolution gets upscaled to 1080p). Audio goes out over optical toslink to my receiver, setup for 5.1 audio. I don't use a keyboard to interact with the pc, just an RF remote set up with Girder to control everything. I do leave a VNC server running on the machine in case the remote/girder stop responding and I can go in and clean things up with my laptop.

We recently built our home and had it prewired for surround sound in the family room. The builders put junction boxes on the studs where the speakers would go. We had trouble finding any details on how we could install the speakers on our own with these junction boxes being on the stud and not have to cut into the ceiling joist/stud. We definitely did not want to leave the plate cover on the ceiling and put the speakers somewhere else on the ceiling! So we decided since we were able to do it ourselves then we would make this video to help anyone looking to do this on their own. It saved us plenty of money and is not hard to do. If you are a little hesitant to cut into your ceiling or wall then stop by your local hardware store such as Home Depot or Lowe's and then get a 4x4 or small scrap piece of sheetrock and practice on it first. We got our speakers from Monoprice.com.

Running a DRM Transmitter 30mW Test at lab. Tx is set at a bit more than 30mW AVG power, connected at 50R load and with a 1m lead in parallel. Receiver was a modified ICOM PCR100 with a homemade IF converter board added at it. Rx antenna used was just a small homemade UHF whip with an added 1m lead. Distance between Tx lab workbench and Rx point was ~12m at a near seperate thru a wall, sideroom. Encoder software was SPARK (www.drm-sender.de) for Tx, at 9KHz DRM spectrum, 0Hz IQ baseband, and a standard low cost PC audiocard. Frequency was 1440KHz (Medium Wave Band). SA span showing the DRM mask is set at 50KHz. Rx Decoding software used is the SoDiRa v0.74 for DRM A & B modes, while also the DREAM was tested with better decoding results at DRM C mode! Audio is added on video because of use of a camera without audio for this video. See our other video from the same tests with another camera with audio, provided a demo with the real audio captured while decoding our DRM testings...
