I used it to stream a movies to various rooms at home and at office (NCSU - University of Peradeniya) am needing to use if to broadcast a student registration. Alternatives: VLC Player [ encountered issues with newer versions of VLC ] Where to get: www.microsoft.com HowTo [Basic]: @Senders End [ IP Address is : ABCD - use ipconfig to obtain ] 1. Open Expression - Select Live Broadcasting Project 2. Select Live Source or Add File Source 3. Cue the source by clicking the 'Cue' button 4. Go to Output - Select Streaming and then Broadcast 5. Go to Encoding - Do necessary changes to Audio / Video 6. Press 'Start' button @Receivers End 1. Open Windows Media Player [ or what ever player ] 2. Open URL and enter mms://[IP Address of Broadcaster]:[port no] ex: mms://ABCD:8080 / mms://192.168.0.21:8080 Considerations: Video Encoding is a process intensive task. The more Bit Rate it has and the higher the width and height of the video output would be, more the processor would be used. A processor over Core i3 is recommended for the server. And you are done!
